The AviaTor project

Law enforcement agencies receive a rapidly growing number of reports on online child sexual abuse material. In 2021, the industry, the public and NGOs generated almost 30 million CSAM reports. These reports are labour intensive to process. The AviaTor project — Augmented Visual Intelligence and Targeted Online Research —, funded by the European Union’s Internal Security Fund – Police, aims at developing automation and intelligence tools to greatly reduce the time spent by LEAs in processing, assessing and prioritizing these reports. These tools combine artificial intelligence techniques, used to investigate the content, with the capability to carry out targeted online research for open source intelligence.

In the presentation ZiuZ, as one of the project partners, will provide an update on the current states of the project and the road map for the coming years.
